head shot Oceanside

Headshot portrait session | Rex Hindrichs | Marcy Browe Photography – San Diego, CA

“Tough guy”, “Thug”, “Menacing”. These are the types of characters Rex Hindrichs is looking to get casted for.

Although when you meet him, that’s not at all what comes across in his warm, gentle personality. And then … he switches into character. He drops his smile and stares at you through his lowered brow and immediately he’s a guy you don’t want to mess with.

Oh, and it just so happens that Rex was blessed with the gift of height. He’s 7 feet tall, so people notice him. His larger than life stature and good looks are what has gotten him cast in several commercials and movies.

I recently worked with Rex Hindrichs, to update his headshots to showcase his tougher side. When he said he wanted grittier photos for his casting portfolio, I knew immediately where to shoot: in the underground tunnel of the Oceanside train station. This location doesn’t look like the sunny surf loving Oceanside that I know so well. This location says back alley. A location where thugs lurk and bad things happen in the dark.

I think he nailed the look of the tough guy in his headshot.

And of course, we did some friendly shots too. We had to capture his natural state of being: the easy going good looking guy.

Rex, I wish you all the success in the entertainment industry. Keep your eye out for this “Quite Giant”…

What a handsome giant! His eyes say it all, either menacing or romantic. He has the look!He gives out the feeling of strength, a “don’t mess with me” look, and yet he also has a romantic look in his eyes. A “James Bond” in the making.

I agree – he’d make a perfect handsome James Bond villain!!

Great job capturing Rex’s essence and presence. He is a site to behold in person and he’s got the most beautiful eyes. I can tell from his photos that he’s got the “it” factor!
