The “save the date” notices have gone out. That means I can finally share the engagement photos I took of my cousin, Kieran, and his fiance, Lauren, this summer!

Here is a video with scenes from their portrait shoot, which took place on a perfect summer evening in a grassy field in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Personally I love nothing more than photographing in a grassy field just before sunset. The golden lighting, the soft grass, the sun flare — be still my heart, it just melts me!!

Kieran grew up in Brattleboro, and our family gathered here in July for our annual family weekend. So we used this opportunity to photograph the engaged couple. These two are some of my favorite people on the planet so I was very happy to capture their romance in a setting that is just as beautiful as they are.

Kieran and Lauren met at Syracuse University and after graduation they moved to Columbus, Ohio where they both worked for Abercrombie & Fitch. Lauren is a fashion designer and Kieran is a product and packaging designer. They are currently planning their wedding, which will take place in June at a beautiful setting in Pennsylvania. Their early evening wedding will feature soft colors and will be filled with details that are important to them.

Everyone who spends time with this couple is witness to their affections towards each other. I could not have picked a better match for my cousin, and I’m so excited that Lauren will officially be family come June.
