Kermit the Frog Was Wrong

Remember when Kermit The Frog sang about “It’s not easy being green”? 

Well, turns out he’s wrong. It’s actually surprisingly easy to be green. “Green” as in environmentally aware and supportive of Mother Earth. 

As a certified Green Business Owner, I just completed my certification renewal through the California Green Business Network and I was reminded that small, simple steps can be incredibly impactful. 

Here are just some of the ways I am GREENING my business: 

• I’m SUPER PUMPED to announce that I am now sourcing 100% renewable energy through CleanEnergyAlliance.org (and you can too! It’s TOO EASY not to do)

• At my photo studio, here are a few simple actions that make a big impact:
  
  • I use non-toxic cleaning products
  • I’ve installed low flow water fixtures 
  • Updated my HVAC system with reusable filters 
  • I skip the single use plastics
  • I offer reusable drinkware and serving dishes and cloth napkins
    
• I’m an activist!
  • I am active in many local sustainable organizations 
  • A portion of my sales are donated to environmentally focused causes 
  • I vote and campaign for earth-friendly initiatives that are important to me 

Those are a few of the easy, low cost ways that I am green, sustainable and a champion of the earth.
