Dogs and the beach … two of my favorites! When Jessica and I talked about doing her photoshoot for La Costa Living Magazine we knew we wanted to include their 3 year-old chocolate lab Maverick.

So, dogs aren’t really allowed on Ponto Beach in Carlsbad, where we did these photographs, but we headed to the beach after the lifeguards left their posts for the night so we were able to get Maverick into the shots with Jessica and her husband Kyle.

Jessica just opened up a women’s boutique in La Costa Town Square, called M. Sorelle, so this photoshoot was a perfect opportunity for her to model some of the clothing and accessories available in her shop.

And then Kyle changed into his trunks and went for a surf!!
