Solis Family Photo | Mission San Luis Rey Oceanside

Every family has a reason to take family portraits. For the Solis Family, it was because their son James and his girlfriend were about to take off to live in Thailand for an extended period of time. So they got the whole family together – including BOTH grandmothers! – and celebrated their bond with a family photo session.

It’s families like the Solis Family that make me LOVE my job. What I especially loved about this family was their effortless silliness. I could tell that they all really liked being around one another and their love was evident from the minute we met. And most importantly is how they treated their grandmothers – lots of love and tenderness and laughs were had by all.

Mario, the father of the bunch, told me he wanted to do their photos at San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside because this was a very special place for their family. He told me he wanted to be buried there, and I don’t blame him. This is a lovely place to spend eternity and to have your loved ones come to visit you.
