Meet the O’Neil Family. I recently photographed them at their home for the La Costa Living Magazine.
Nicole and Don O’Neil have 5 great kids, all with a passion for different activities — from dance to soccer to gymnastics to music.
Their oldest son, Bryce is 19 and in his first year at college. McKenna is 17 and she’s in her senior year at La Costa Canyon High School. Blake is 13 and he plays the saxophone and the piano — he played the piano beautifully when I was there to photograph the family. Gabi is 10 and she loves to dance. And the youngest, Luke, is 8 and he definitely keeps up with the older kids.
It was so fun joining this family for an afternoon in their home in Carlsbad. Nicole and Don’s relaxed attitude definitely comes through when you spend time with this family. Each of the kids has a personality of their own but they all share a warm disposition and a friendly personality.
Gabi was quick to tell me that she looks up to her big sister and her mom. She wants to be just like her mom when she grows up, she told me. I loved hearing that!
