What better time for family portraits, than when your entire family is gathered in one place? In the case of the Milewski-McDaniel family, they were all together at the beginning of October in Carlsbad, CA. They came in from Michigan, Illinois and various parts of California.

And when you get a gorgeous cloud-filled sky at sunset, it’s pure magic for family photos!! When I arrived at Carlsbad State Beach before the family gathered here, I looked up at the sky and said a big “thank you” to the weather gods because we had perfect photo-taking conditions and I just knew it was going to be an epic sunset that evening.

This crew loved having fun together and the cousins were eager to run around and jump and ham it up for the camera. This is why I love doing photos at the beach!!
